Grand Rapids government bid and proposal help
Government bid help for Grand Rapids and West Michigan businesses.
From City of Grand Rapids service contracts to Kent County, school, and federal work, West Michigan public bids come through several different systems. We sort out what each solicitation requires, build the compliance matrix, and draft the response for a flat fee.
How the City of Grand Rapids buys
Goods and services: MITN
The City’s Purchasing department posts its bid opportunities on the MITN Purchasing Group. The free “Limited Access” option lets you view and respond, but doesn’t send automatic alerts, so it’s easy to miss a short response window. Recent posts have included snow removal, fleet vehicles, tools, and equipment maintenance.
Construction: Bid Express
Engineering construction projects are posted separately on Bid Express, which is free to register to view and download documents. Construction bids add their own traps: bonds, prevailing-wage terms, plan-holder registration, and addenda acknowledgment.
The City also runs an Equal Business Opportunity program with a Micro Local Business Enterprise certification and bid-discount applications. If you qualify, the paperwork has to be right and on time. Payments run through a separate Vendor Self-Service registration.

Beyond City Hall
West Michigan firms also bid on State of Michigan work through SIGMA Vendor Self Service, county and school work posted on MITN and buyer websites, and federal opportunities on SAM.gov, including manufacturing and supply buys from defense agencies. A free go/no-go read tells you which ones are worth your time.
